Take a short 5 minute drive from central Te Kuiti (less than 20 minutes from Waitomo caves), to discover Valley Views Retreat. Set high on the hill of a 500 acre Kiwi sheep and beef farm, overlooking rural farmland.

The modern retreat boasts 2 bedrooms, lounge/dining area, bathroom with shower and a bath and a full functioning kitchen. Enjoy floor to ceiling glass sliding doors in the lounge and master bedroom that open onto the generous deck to allow great flow from indoor to outdoor and beautiful country views.

Watch or accompany the kids as they enjoy the in-ground solar heated salt pool, or enjoy a soak in the hot tub. The pool has a shallow area great for the little ones.

Waitomo Caves
So much to do at this must-see natural attraction.
Mother nature's amazing wonderland. Limestone creations and myriads of tiny glowworm lights.
Many options of wet or dry ultimate caving tours. One of my personal favs.
Otorohanga Kiwi House
& Native Bird Park

The best place in NZ to see a KIWI.
Close up all day viewing of our national bird in their special nocturnal enclosures. Only 15 minutes away in Otorohanga.
The Timber Trail
A stunning Grade 2/3 85 km cycling adventure from Pureora Forest Park Village.
It passes through magnificent forests, offering extensive views of the surrounding landscape.
Featuring 35 bridges, including 8 large suspension bridges (the longest being 141 metres).

1 hour west of Waitomo you will find the unspoilt west coast beachs. Enjoy the great fishing and swimming while stopping off at the beautiful MarokopaFalls on your way home.
Bush Walks
Your hosts are happy to share info regarding many local walks including Marokopa Falls, Ruakuri Cave, Mangapohue Natural Bridge, Brooke Park- Motakiora, Mangaokewa Reserve and Piripiri Caves
Enjoy a 90-minute guided tour of the stunning farm location at Mangaotaki Rocks Piopio, where the troll and campfire scenes in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" were filmed.
